How to update IPBrick

It's important to get IPBrick allways updated. IPBrick updates support can include new features, bug corrections etc

So, the steps to update a base version of IPBrick are:

1) Check what is the current version of IPBrick at IPBrick web interface, upper-left corner 2) Check the updates installed (Advanced Configurations - IPBrick - Update) 3) Go to http://eshop.ipbrick.com to the correct update folder and download the updates 4) At IPBrick go to Advanced Configurations - IPBrick - Update, and install the updates one by one.

NOTE: The major updates include all the older fix_updates and security_updates released.

Example:

Lets suppose that you got IPBrick 6.0 with no updates and want to upgrade to IPBrick 6.1. You will need to:

1) Go to http://eshop.ipbrick.com/eshop/software.php?cPath=3_73_6_95. Because the major includes all the older fix_updates/security_updates we just need to download the folowing ones:

   update_01-v6.0
   pkg1_update_02-v6.0
   pkg2_update_02-v6.0
   update_02-v6.0
   pkg1_update_03-v6.0
   pkg2_update_03-v6.0
   update_03-v6.0
   update_04-v6.0

   It's important to read the release notes for each update

2) Install the updates one by one at IPBrick from Advanced Configurations - IPBrick - Update, in the same order refered at step 1. After the installation of each update please pay attention to the update result.

3) When all updates are installed, Apply Configurations. IPBrick will reboot.
