Yes, that is correct. By default, it is created a group with all of IPBRICK's users.

Probably, the problem is that the IM client has an enabled option not to present "offline" contacts. There are two possible solutions for this:

* Remove that option: allowing to see every single contact, including the offline ones;

* Configure two IM clients with two separate accounts: to see the default group in both of them.
